SUNDAY AFTER ASCENSION (7TH SUNDAY OF EASTER)

Readings for Matins (11.00 am)
Ezekiel Ch 36 vs. 24-28
Acts Ch 1 vs. 6-14

Collect (CW)
O God the King of glory,
who hast exalted thine only Son Jesus Christ
with great triumph to thy kingdom in heaven:
we beseech thee, leave us not comfortless,
but send to us thine Holy Spirit to comfort us
and exalt us unto the same place
whither our saviour Christ is gone before;
who liveth and reigneth with thee
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever :
Amen

Blessing
The Spirit of truth lead you into al truth,
Give you grace to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
And strengthen you to proclaim the word and works of God;
And the blessing of God Almighty,
Father Son and Holy Spirit be upon you and all whom you love this day and evermore.
Amen

Please remember in your prayers the meeting on Tuesday with someone who has applied to be the Chaplain at Little Malvern Priory. Here is a prayer you might like to use when you remember the meeting:

"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide us into all the truth."
This Lord, you have promised and so we believe.
Open the hearts of those meeting today with a possible chaplain for our church that they might receive your Holy Spirit in all his gracious fullness, and make them sensitive to his guidance, that they might know your mind and do your will, For your name's sake.
Amen
