Annual Parochial Church Meeting: This will take place in church tomorrow, Monday 19th May, at 6.00 pm. At this meeting reports are given on the business of the PCC in the last year; accounts are approved and elections held for the positions of churchwarden and parochial church council members. A copy of the new Electoral Roll is on display in the narthex.
Lyttelton Well is looking for a seasonal cook, to join the current team on Mondays 12.00 – 2.30 pm, and on Fridays 12.00 – 4.30 pm, plus flexibility to cover other lunchtimes or day shifts. Anybody interested should contact Pauline Jacob at cafe@lytteltonwell.co.uk.
The next ‘LMP 875’ event will be on Tuesday 20th May (2.30 pm) in church, when the Vicar will speak on ‘The bible unpacked.’ Who wrote the bible, and when? How did it reach its current form? Is it all divinely inspired? How should we read the scriptures today? These and other questions will be explored. All welcome – free entry. Please bring a bible with you.
Rogation Day walk – ‘Beating the Bounds.’ You are invited to join this traditional walk when the congregation walks the boundaries of the parish, and prayers are offered for the blessing of the crops. Monday 26th May, starting from Little Malvern Priory at 9.30 am. The route is approximately five miles, and there will be a ‘comfort stop’ on the way. Please bring food and drink to enjoy. Being on the Malvern Hills, there are of course, ups and downs, and two stiles. Walkers participate at their own risk. For further details, please ring Alison Hunka 07763 464305.
Ascension Day is on Thursday 29th May. There will be Holy Communion at Little Malvern Priory at 12.00 noon, and a Deanery Ascension Service at St. Peter and St. Paul, Upton, at 7.00 pm.
