Our Away Giving collection for Julywill be for The Nepal Initiative. This is a charitable organisation that supports the welfare and economically disadvantaged children in Nepal, with a particular focus on child trafficking. There is practically no respect for children from the lowest caste in Nepal: the Badi. Many of the children are trafficked to brothels in India. A Christian centre has been set up with two hostels and a school in Kathmandu to care for the rescued children. Support is needed for counselling, educational needs, clothing and books.

As part of the fundraising, there will be available for purchase beautiful fabric squares sewn by the children. These can be used as small table covers.

The Anglican monks of Mucknell Abbey will be visiting us on Sunday 13th July as part of our 875 celebrations. There will be a short talk about the Benedictine tradition at 4 pm, followed by Sung Vespers at 5 pm. Mucknell Abbey is a new building just to the east of Worcester; the community transferring there from Burford in 2010. Come and hear how the community follows the Rule of St Benedict and lives out that rule in worship, hospitality and service.

Lyttelton Well: The Lyttelton Well Ltd. Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 15th July in the Main Hall of the Lyttelton Rooms. Refreshments and prayer stations available 7.15 to 7.45 pm with the AGM following until 8.45. This is an opportunity both to review the year and to catch the vision for the way ahead. All are most welcome.
